Bruceton
Mills, WV – Home of Pretzel Arena features up to date
state-of-the-art (150 ft. x 255 ft.) arena with 450 tons of sand as a base, night
lighting, rodeo fencing, press box, PA system, electronic gates,
and laser electronic timer system for rodeo riders. |

This
West Virginia rodeo arena attracts riders who participate in multiple events
including – team and single individual cattle penning,
cattle roping, bull riding, barrel racing and more! There is something for
every rider ranging from only six years old, to the more mature
rodeo rider and enthusiast. Spectators will be treated to an afternoon
and evening of excitement, talking about horses, horse trailers,
trucks, BBQ and everything under the sun. The riders range from
the enthusiast to real contenders. |

Pretzel
Arena, Bruceton Mills, WV – Despite over one inch of rain the
night before and during the morning, the weather finally cleared off
for the first in a series of Team Roping events this season.
There were twelve (12) headers and eight (8) heelers from PA, WV, VA,
and MD. The Winning Result as follows: |

FIRST PLACE TEAM - Allen Wilson / Bruce Nickles took home $532
with a time of 35.68 seconds, on three head.

SECOND PLACE TEAM - Ross Clatterbuck / Jim Costanzo took home
$399 with a time of 45.16 on three head.
-
THIRD PLACE TEAM - David Redfern / Bruce Nickles took home $266
with a time of 24.10 on two head.
-
FORTH PLACE TEAM - Rich Orton / John Topper took home $133 with
a time of 25.05 on two head.

CATTLE PENNING
& BULL RIDING FEATURED IN SEASON OPENER! |

Pretzel Arena, Bruceton Mills, WV – The season started with
Cattle Penning and Bull Riding excitement! All sponsor's banners, were
in place, the new concession stand was up and running and best of all
we had a good crowd of spectators despite the questionable weather.
The event consisted of 22 Practice Teams and 11 Jackpot Teams. The Winning Cattle Penning Team, with a time of 45.39 seconds
consisted of Frank Bolyard of Thorton, WV, Scott Swiger, of Grafton,
WV and Gary Cabo, of Mt. Clair, WV. They split the $115 prize!
Immediately following the Jackpot Team Penning, Bull Riders from the
PA High School Rodeo Association participated in the event. The all
ride the local circuit and participate in local PBR Events. These guys
are really something to watch!

Bruceton Mills, WV – Pretzel Arena is pleased to announce that
we will have overnight horse boarding capabilities for overnight
participants during the 2008 Season. If you plan on
participating and would like to board overnight, please contact us and
we will be happy to make our pasture and watering pond available.
Motel accommodations, in the brand new Microtel Inn & Suites are
available for overnight guests about ten minutes from Pretzel Arena. |
